The yoga pose that best assists meditation is a seated one that you can do comfortably. This could be:

  • Swastikasana (Easy Cross Legs)
  • Ardha Padmasana (Half Lotus)
  • Padmasana (Full Lotus)
  • Sukhasana (Easy Pose)

Sit on a meditation cushion to ensure your hip flexors relax. Support your back with a bolster against a wall, until you are strong enough to remain upright without assistance.

To ready yourself for meditation - beforehand consider doing: 

  • Marjariasana-Bitilisana (Cat-Cow Pose)
  • Garudasana (Eagle Pose)
  • Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog)
