Carry the power and protection of this Infinite Quest Amulet.

This Infinite Quest Amulet has two Thai amulets - one is a hand cast protective pendant of the seated Buddha and the other a colorful yellow commemorative metal amulet with a standing Buddha - both displayed on a mala garland made of 6mm Mixed Amazonite, Labradorite and Sandalwood beads - accented with gold metal faceted beads - hand-knotted on a silk cord with a knot between each bead.

This amulet has been tied in a traditional 108 pattern - with 108 Amazonite, Labradorite and Sandalwood counting beads with an 8mm Sandalwood bead at the halfway point.

Choose the amulet that speaks to you. Know that it is meant to protect you spiritually and emotionally and attract positive energy to you. And that it comes to you through the hands of those who have made it with love and respect.

Amulets: One Seated Buddha amulet (Amitābha - the celestial Buddha) in a rectangular shape made of base metal edged in brass and one Standing Buddha depicted on a yellow shield commemorative metal amulet.

Mudra: The Seated Buddha is displaying the Dhyana (or meditation mudra) - the right hand is placed on top of the left hand, palms face up and thumbs lightly touching. The thumbs touch to symbolize the union and enlightenment of masculine and feminine in mind, body, and spirit. The top hand symbolizes enlightenment; the bottom hand, the world of appearances. Thus the mudra as a whole suggests the supremacy of the enlightened mind.  The Standing Biuddha is depicting the mudra of 'Holding the Jewel', or Manidhara Mudra. It is made by holding one’s hands together in front but with the palms and fingers slightly arched, holding the precious, wish-fulfilling jewel.

Stones: Mixed Amazonite, Labradorite

Other beads: Sandalwood wooden beads, gold metal faceted beads

Full Length:  (hanging; top to bottom): 17.25" (43.5cm) to end of amulets.  Full circle of necklace: 33.75" (86cm). Amulet pendant size: seated: 2cm, standing: 2cm

These protective amulets have been hand sourced from the amulet markets of Thailand. They are handmade in the villages outside Bangkok by Buddhist monks and Buddhist families who have been making these amulets in the traditional manner for generations. They are cast or stamped from base metals and some are cased in frames of thin brass strips. Some amulets are struck to commemorate a specific event at a temple and some represent famous images of Buddha found in the temples of Thailand.

Often the image of Amitābha (the celestial seated Buddha) is used in the amulet. Amitābha is known for his longevity and combination of discernment and pure perception. He is believed to possess infinite merit resulting from good deeds over countless past lives. Thus, Amitābha is also called "The Buddha of Immeasurable Light and Life".

After choosing an amulet, a person will traditionally go to the local temple and ask a monk to bless it and imbue it with special powers. It will then be worn on a necklace or belt, or kept on an altar at home.

Amazonite is a strong stone for communication and enhances intuition, psychic powers, creativity, intellect, and psychic ability. It can assist in lessening stress and self-defeating behaviors by calming and building self-esteem.

Labradorite is excellent at strengthening intuition and promoting psychic abilities and at revealing the truth behind illusions and strengthening your faith in yourself and your trust in the Universe.

Wooden beads carry lower chakra energy. They represent Mother Earth and have grounding effects - symbolizing stability, reliability and warmth. They represent the connection that we all have to life, the planet and the eternal cycle. Sandalwood is a fragrant and increasingly rare wood that has long been prized for ceremonial use. Considered auspicious, sandalwood brings aroma to practice – and as such, reminds us that we are sensory beings and its calming effect can make meditation practice satisfying at many levels.

You can rest assured that you will be purchasing the amulet you see here. We believe that each amulet is a precious talisman and a unique piece of beauty. As such, every amulet is handcrafted and photographed for presenting on the site.
